Tracking

Exploration · Skill guide

Find eligible nearby targets and follow their direction. Maximum skill: 120 with Power Scrolls; useful alongside Archery.

Summary

  • Use: Use Tracking, choose a category, then select a result to follow its arrow.
  • Selecting a category can train even when no target is found.
  • Native search range stops improving at 100; higher skill has separate ranged-combat benefits.
  • Tracking adds no spell or melee damage.

Training

Set Tracking to Up ↑ and leave room under your 720 total skill cap.

Tracking recommended training route
Skill Range Recommended Activity
0–50 Buy an optional lesson from a Ranger for 300 gold; it raises this skill directly to 50.0.
50–120 Repeat Tracking and category selection. Unlock each higher cap before training above 100.

Above 100, use matching Power Scrolls in order: 105, 110, 115, then 120. They unlock caps without granting skill points.

Right-click the teacher NPC, select the skill’s training entry, then give 300 gold. You need a skill cap of at least 50 and room for the entire lesson under your total cap.

Mechanics & Scaling

Trained Tracking adds +10% to eligible PvP bow/crossbow hits at 100, rising at Power Scroll thresholds to +20% at 120. It never adds spell or melee damage. Native search and stalking stop scaling at 100; the separate Archer PvM support target is 80.

Threshold / Stat Effect / Scaling
50.0 +5% eligible PvP bow/crossbow damage
100.0 +10% ranged damage; native search reaches its existing maximum
105.0 +12.5% ranged damage
110.0 +15% ranged damage
115.0 +17.5% ranged damage
120.0 +20% ranged damage; no further search or Archer PvM support

Additional rules & notes

  • Archer PvM support reaches its Tracking target at 80.
