Transparent Inventory of Web Storage & Session Tokens
We do not track you across the web. This portal uses only strictly necessary security and session tokens required to authenticate your account and preserve interface preferences.
1. Understanding Web Storage & Cookies
How lightweight tokens maintain your portal state securely
Cookies are compact text files placed onto your device when you load web pages. They permit the web application to recognize your browser, keep you signed in between page loads, and verify that requests sent from your browser originated from an authentic user session.
In accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR standards, cookies that are strictly necessary for providing an explicitly requested service (such as securing user authentication and preventing CSRF attacks) are placed upon interaction.
2. Complete Inventory of Cookies We Use
Comprehensive list of active cookies, purposes, and lifetimes
| Cookie Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ironveil_session | Strictly Necessary | Stores encrypted PHP session state to keep you authenticated as you navigate through account features, donate, or marketplace pages. | 120 minutes / Session |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security | Cross-Site Request Forgery prevention token. Protects your account against malicious external websites submitting unauthorized actions on your behalf. | 120 minutes |
| remember_web_* | User Preference | Optional persistent login token created only when you explicitly check "Remember Me" during portal sign-in. | 5 years or until Logout |
3. HTML5 Local Storage & Session Storage
Client-side storage used exclusively for UI preferences
Our web portal may store lightweight non-sensitive preferences directly within your browser's Local Storage:
- Sound & Ambiance Toggles: Saves your mute or volume preference if the audio atmosphere widget is toggled on the homepage.
- Collapsed Sidebar State: Remembers whether you have collapsed the wiki codex navigation rail for reading comfort.
Data stored in Local Storage remains entirely on your local machine and is never transmitted to our remote servers.
4. How to Manage or Disable Cookies
Browser configuration guides and consequences of blocking tokens
You have full authority to restrict, block, or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-party cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection / Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
