Weaken susceptible creatures through music. Maximum skill: 120 with Power Scrolls; useful alongside Musicianship.
Summary
- Use: Use Discordance with an instrument and target an eligible monster; stay within the effect’s conditions.
- The instrument can succeed while the separate Discordance attempt fails.
- Boss Discord from the Bard Codex is a separate ability.
Training
Set Discordance to Up ↑ and leave room under your 720 total skill cap.

| 0–50 | Buy an optional lesson from a Bard for 300 gold; it raises this skill directly to 50.0. |
| 50–80 | Perform Discordance for Academy audience members. |
| 80–120 | Discord creatures whose difficulty still challenges you; choose harder targets as needed. |
Above 100, use matching Power Scrolls in order: 105, 110, 115, then 120. They unlock caps without granting skill points.
Right-click the teacher NPC, select the skill’s training entry, then give 300 gold. You need a skill cap of at least 50 and room for the entire lesson under your total cap.
Mechanics & Scaling
At 100.0 the AOS penalty is 20%; above 100 it gains 1 additional point per 2.5 skill, reaching 28% at 120. Targets with base difficulty 160+ receive half under SE rules.

Additional rules & notes
- Ordinary-world practice on an existing song has additional requirements and stops at 100. Do not rely on that repeat-song route for 100–120.
