Chivalry

Specialized power · Skill guide

Act as the Archer PvM role skill. Maximum skill: 120 with Power Scrolls; useful alongside Archery and the Archer Codex.

Summary

  • Use: Carry an Archer Codex and land ranged hits on eligible monsters or Academy Archer targets.
  • Native Chivalry spells have their own casting requirements; they are not this role-training route.
  • A higher role skill does not replace Codex rank or supporting skills.

Training

Set Chivalry to Up ↑ and leave room under your 720 total skill cap.

Chivalry recommended training route
Skill Range Recommended Activity
0–50 Buy an optional lesson from a Bowyer for 300 gold; it raises this skill directly to 50.0.
50–80 Land ranged hits on Academy targets with an Archer Codex and matching ammunition.
80–120 Keep landing ranged hits on valid monsters with the Codex; ordinary PvP opponents do not qualify.

Above 100, use matching Power Scrolls in order: 105, 110, 115, then 120. They unlock caps without granting skill points.

Right-click the teacher NPC, select the skill’s training entry, then give 300 gold. You need a skill cap of at least 50 and room for the entire lesson under your total cap.

Mechanics & Scaling

For a qualified Archer, the ordinary PvM attack bonus uses the average of effective Archery and Chivalry. The shared endgame curve gives factors 40%, 70%, 85% and 100% at average skill 0, 80, 100 and 120, before the other applicable rank and supporting-skill calculations. Individual techniques have their own rules. Sacred Journey requires Chivalry 80.0 or Mysticism 80.0, costs 5 mana and no tithing, and can be used from a runebook without owning the spell.

Additional rules & notes

  • Sacred Journey can use Chivalry 80 or Mysticism 80, costs 5 mana and no tithing, and works from a runebook.

Location & Instructors

  • Trainer NPC: Bowyer or Keeper to 50.0.
  • Academy: Land ranged hits with an Archer Codex to 80.0.
