Improve eligible companions in monster combat. Maximum skill: 120 with Power Scrolls; useful alongside Animal Taming, Animal Lore and Veterinary.
Summary
- Use: Fight valid monsters with your owned combat pet; pet damage and valid combat support offer checks.
- Stay alive, nearby and on the same map while your pet participates.
- Idle pets do not train this skill.
- This is Pet Mastery, not an ordinary player-parrying build.
Training
Set Bushido / Pet Mastery to Up ↑ and leave room under your 720 total skill cap.

| 0–50 | Buy an optional lesson from a Samurai for 300 gold; it raises this skill directly to 50.0. Samurai teachers have native Tokuno placements; availability in Felucca is not verified. |
| 50–100 | Have your owned combat pet damage valid monsters. |
| 100–120 | Continue qualifying pet combat and support after unlocking each higher cap. |
Above 100, use matching Power Scrolls in order: 105, 110, 115, then 120. They unlock caps without granting skill points.
Right-click the teacher NPC, select the skill’s training entry, then give 300 gold. You need a skill cap of at least 50 and room for the entire lesson under your total cap.
Mechanics & Scaling
Eligible non-summoned combat companions gain a separate mastery layer of up to +10% damage and −10% incoming monster damage at effective Bushido 120, rounded down to whole percentage points. Offensive-role damage contributes +12% at 100 and +15% at 120; the separate outgoing endgame factor rises from 85% to 100%. At 120, tank reduction reaches 15%, utility cooldown reduction 20% and utility healing addition 25%. Each pet has one role. Level, rank, other bonuses and the four-skill Beastmaster supporting multiplier are separate parts of the final calculation.
